Our Work
Honoring the Legacy of Agatha Obiageli Aghedo
The Agatha Obiageli Aghedo Memorial Foundation was established to continue the lifelong passion of Mrs. Agatha Obiageli Aghedo for education, healthcare, and empowering underprivileged women and children across Nigeria.
Since its inception, AOAMF has remained steadfast in transforming lives through sustainable community development, scholarship programs, medical outreach, and skills acquisition initiatives — all in loving memory of a remarkable woman who believed no one should be left behind.
St. Agatha’s Inclusive Learning Centre (SAILC)
For nine years, this centre has been a safe space for children who have been pushed to the margins—children out of school, children with disabilities, and children from struggling homes.
What SAILC Offers
- Free early years and primary education
- A daily meal to strengthen learning and health
- Specialised learning support for children with diverse needs
- A nurturing environment that values every child
- Reintegration into formal schools when the child is ready
More than 500 children have passed through this centre and found stability, direction, and confidence.
St. Agatha’s Inclusive High School
Opened in the 2025/2026 session, this high school ensures children who began their journey with us do not fall through the cracks after primary school.
Our Commitment
- Free secondary education
- A respectful, supportive learning environment
- A clear pathway for children to complete their basic education
This is a natural extension of our work at SAILC and a reminder that inclusion must be continuous.
Sponsorship Programme for Children and Adults
This programme supports children from very low-income homes to access quality education in private schools.
Current Impact
- 40+ children currently sponsored
- Full support covering fees, uniforms, books, and school essentials
This support also extends to adults—including persons with disabilities—seeking higher education or vocational advancement.
Adult Sponsorship Impact
Over 50 adults have been sponsored through tertiary education, vocational training, or professional certification.
This is part of our long-term vision: breaking cycles of poverty with opportunity and dignity.

Inclusion Training & Community Capacity Building
We train schools, caregivers, and communities to embrace inclusion from the start. Through awareness, acceptance, and assistance, we help create environments where every child and adult feels seen, valued, and supported.
